Shameless Consumerism? I Think So.

I've been saving this one since Friday when I was on the plane to Oberlin, Ohio to attend my sister's graduation (congrat's Liz!) and I was reading the SkyMall magazine. Not that SkyMall is known for it's Brookstone-like high-class electronics or anything, but I found this tidbit particularly amusing. You'll have to picture the right product first:

"Quickly train your pet to stay off furniture.
No scolding the dog for sleeping on the sofa...as long as motion continues. Uses one 9-volt battery (included)."
Now to the left:
"Make it easier for her to get up on the couch herself.
Ideal for small breeds, senior pets, or those with arthritis or hip trouble, this ramp system enables them to climb up on to furniture or into the car with ease."
Accompanying this description is an image of the actual product, quite possibly the most ludicrous that I've ever seen (slightly funnier than the one posted). As for "into the car with ease." I pose the question, who the hell wants their pet driving their car!?!
