As a hip-hop producer I'd defend his music as exceptional from a production standpoint at least, if not purely for his rapping, he is a probably the most influential hip-hop producer of this decade (if not Timbaland). Also, as for the biblical references, it is nice to see a personality in the Rap industry that stands for something, even if it isn't what I do. Plus, I doubt that he voted for Bush.
