iTunes sent me an e-mail about Hilary Duff's new album, prompting me to unsubscribe from their mailing list. It claims,
"Shedding her wide-eyed Lizzie McGuire image, Hilary Duff is all grown up and ready to be taken seriously. Proving that she has officially graduated from teen pop to dance pop, her new album, Dignity, offers a funkier, more electronic vibe than her previous work. Duff also reveals her talent as a songwriter. She co-wrote every song on the album, including the title track, which details her personal observations and experiences of living in Los Angeles."
First of all, graduating "from teen pop to dance pop" is like graduating from a clown college to University of Pheonix Online. Second, from what I've heard of Duff's previous work, writing credit is nothing to brag about...much less co-writing credit? Which leads me to my next point, if she co-wrote all the songs, who was the other co-writer? A deaf primate? Wow, that would be the best matched duet since Simon and Garfunkel. I can't wait to hear this song about living in Los Angelas:
