More Kanye West

I just noticed that Kanye West's Touch The Sky is sampled from that song from Bend It Like Beckham...maybe they'll join Shirley Bassey to form a class-action...I have to doubt the competence of Roc-a-fella, I mean, clearing samples is pretty basic, and especially important when you're raking in as much revenue as Kanye and tha fellas!

P.S. Did you know that our student lounges are equipped with 50-inch plasma televisions?

The final line seems unprofessional to say the very least. Should I really be concerned by the size of their tvs? Shouldn't it say "Professors with 50 years of experience!"? The world's a f***ed up place.

This is Weird

I noticed a little while ago when this song was played on MTV's TRL (which I do not watch!) that this Mariah Carey song and Dave Chapelle's R Kelly parody "Poop on you" have an almost identical melody...I mean, just hum it over the chorus.

JUSTICE!

Forrest and I went to see The Forty Year Old Virgin today. Apparently the reel was dropped on the floor and they notified us of a "5 minute delay", though the movie did not commence until 45 minutes after the scheduled time. I tried desperately to get a refund from the manager after the movie, eventually swearing to never frequent the theater again, despite her reluctance to give me anything, she finally agreed to give us our next movie for free. It was actually suprising how long it took, most places are glad to give you money back. I'd like to think we live in a society where services are rendered on a timely basis to the satisfaction of the consumer, or else a refund is provided. Much to my dismay, Loews Cineplex (Georgetown) is an exception.
