Chapter 3

Well, hell has officially frozen over: The Macintosh is moving to Intel processors. Let's not dwell on that, but rather what a fine time I'm having in San Fran. Yesterday was rather boring, all introductory courses and what-not. Had dinner with a group of guys who regailed me with tales of their coding adventures from over 20 years ago.

I heard the story on the news. This is uncomfortable to say the least.

How well it is that I remember my own coding experience in San Francisco- though it was much more than twenty years ago. Let me assure you that no introductory courses were needed by that point in my life and as a result I was able to jump right into the fishing. For me in that long ago April San Francisco with her docks and vulgarian longshoremen, cold water flats and bearded poets was never boring. Dear Andrew take my advice and listen well to those older gentlemen as I have no doubt that you can learn more than you can imagine from them.

At times Mandrew wonders about the nature of blather into which he has blundered.
